Now I am a tea person through and through but recently I have developed a love for coffee which I never knew could exist, Mr. Nespresso machine and Starbucks cold brew have seriously changed my life. I know that's dramatic but sometimes a good cup of coffee is all it takes to get your day back on track.
So now that confession of my undying love for coffee is done, lets get on with the tag...
1. Black Coffee: A series that's hard to get into but has hardcore fans.
For me this has to be The Mortal Instruments, I personally love it but I know a number of people who have found it hard to get into the world or who just feel daunted by the number of books in the series. But once you're a fan, you're stuck and now with the TV series, many more people are becoming hardcore Shadowhunter fans.
2. Peppermint Mocha: A book that gets more popular during winter or the festive time of year.
Let It Snow is for sure a popular festive book. I personally didn't like it but that doesn't stop it being extremely Christmassy and it sure does look beautiful in festive bookstagram shoots!
3. Hot Chocolate: Your favourite children's book.
I absolutely adored Michael Morpurgo when I was younger, it was his books which really got me into reading. I particularly loved Kensuke's Kingdom!
4. Double Shot Espresso: A book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
RED QUEEN. This book had me hooked throughout, the plot twists had me going crazy!!
5. Starbucks: A book you see everywhere.
The hype about the film is dying down now but The Fault in Our Stars still seems to be all around. I think basically everyone on earth has seen this book.
6. Hipster Coffee Shop: Give some love to an Indie author.
I am a huge fan of Indie books (check out my Indie book haul here) and one of my absolute favourites is Saving Yesterday which is the first book in the Timeshifters series. I haven't had the chance to read the second book yet but the first was so wonderfully writtenand I adored the story.
7. Oops! I accidentally got Decaf: A book you were expecting more from.
I absolutely loved The Fifth Wave but the second book in the trilogy, The Infinite Sea really didn't live up to expectation. I've got the third book on my TBR so I just hope it gives a good conclusion and is better than the second!
8. The Perfect Blend: Name a book that was both bitter and sweet, but ultimately satisfying.
The first two books of the Did I Mention... series by Estelle Maskame are bitter, sweet and satisfying at the same time. If you haven't read them then you are missing out, they're perfect summer reads and just brilliant.
9. Green Tea: A quietly beautiful book.
This without a doubt has to be Sarah Crossan's One. Its one of the most beautiful books I've ever read, every time I see it in a book shop I urge who ever I'm with to read it! All of Sarah's books which I've read are glorious, if you haven't read them, put them on your TBR!
10. Chai Tea: A book or series that makes you dream of far off places.
New York is my dream home and every time I read Dash and Lily's Book of Dares (yes, I've read it multiple times) I just want to be in Central Park. The whole setting and the romance is just magical to me.
11. Earl Grey: Name your favourite Classic.
If you told me when I was doing my AS Levels that Jane Eyre would be considered my favourite Classic I never would have believed you. But after re-reading the book without the pressure of school, I really enjoyed it. There are parts which annoy me but it really is a beautiful piece of literature.
So there we have my coffee book tag. If you want to do it then do and be sure to send me a link! I tag you all!
